Good morning, y’all!
So, I’m still really new to this, and I will freely admit that social media has been an interesting tool for me to get used to. How much of the “real me” do I reveal? Dreams? Thoughts? Beliefs? Hell, even my humor can be an acquired taste.
I’m not sure what I thought would happen when I dove into this world, but one thing I never expected was to meet so many AMAZING and WONDERFUL fellow authors! Truly, it just never crossed my mind. I thought I’d put myself out there on the typical outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, maybe even Snapchat) so that if I was lucky enough to get a fan or two, they’d be able to contact me. Never in a million years did I think I’d connect with so many people who, in one way or another, fill my day with joy and hold a special place in my heart.
Whether it’s Facebook likes and shares, Twitter likes and retweets, or simply interacting and getting to enjoy each other’s work, it’s amazing what these relationships have meant to me. I have people who are there with me through the disappointments, and to celebrate my accomplishments. I can only hope I provide the same support for them. All in all, it’s been pretty damn awesome.
So to all my fellow writing peeps out there, the ones I talk to every now and then, those who I now consider to be my dear, best friends, and even those I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet…YOU F-ING ROCK!!! THANK YOU!!!
